Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Analyst

📋 Description

• Accountable for safeguarding, securing, and appropriately managing all confidential client data to prevent unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of sensitive information that could potentially harm the client or others.

• The ideal Senior Software Quality Analyst should thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a passion for working with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality products for customers.

• A collaborative team member who actively engages in, coordinates, and contributes to all Agile ceremonies.

• Utilizes TFS to develop scenarios, execute tests, and document defects based on user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Capable of generating metrics related to testing outcomes and defects.

• Reviews and provides constructive feedback to the team regarding the testability of user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Conducts functional, cross-browser, exploratory, security, regression, edge-case, and integration testing as necessary.

• Works in partnership with Quality Analysts and Engineers to formulate an effective Testing Strategy and shares this with the scrum team.

• Imparts knowledge of business processes and databases to Quality Analysts, Engineers, and other team members.

• Engages in knowledge sharing with fellow Quality Analysts.

• Supports Quality Engineers in troubleshooting automation scripts.

• Facilitates and assists in testing during Production Implementations.

• Coordinates and supports Business Acceptance testing.

• Aids in providing estimates to PM and Stakeholders – Sr Analyst.

• Continuously seeks to enhance knowledge of systems, architecture, products, and the industry by attending classes/seminars, reading articles on technical websites, and listening to technical podcasts.

• Provides support for company initiatives such as Disaster Recovery and Audits.

• Assists with other assigned tasks and projects.

• Offers guidance in manual testing techniques, methodologies, testing tools, and best practices.

• Shares expertise by fostering relationships within the team.

• Provides guidance concerning databases and SQL.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a business-related field.

• Over 5 years of business experience.

• More than 3 years of IT experience.

• Familiarity with Agile philosophy and frameworks.

• Experience in manual scenario writing and testing.

• Knowledge of databases and SQL.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain expected productivity levels.

• Possess problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a clear and concise technical writing style.

• Strong listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prioritize and take responsibility for executing project tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Willingness and ability to learn quickly.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams.

• Self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses, with professional standards regarding attendance, accountability, and integrity.

• Exposure to automation scripting and debugging.

• Experience in mentoring and training.

• SQL skills are a plus.

• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
