This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Design, implement, and maintain a quality assurance measurement and review program for the E&S Wholesale Division.
• Conduct comprehensive quality reviews in accordance with program guidelines and audit standards, which includes re-evaluating the audits of peers and/or vendor partners; this requires heightened independent judgment and discretion.
• Analyze the results of quality reviews to evaluate performance, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for enhancement; present findings to business leaders as necessary.
• Develop and disseminate implementation tools to facilitate continuous process improvements to employees on a monthly basis.
• Ensure that quality assurance findings are rectified, documented, and tracked until resolved.
• Actively engage in QA meetings and discussions; offer feedback to managers, coaches, and individual employees regarding quality assessments.
• Oversee and facilitate the implementation of modifications to QA processes, including program design and attributes.
• Lead all testing and evaluation efforts associated with system updates or enhancements related to new regulatory requirements.
• Review State Regulatory Filings for accuracy and completeness, ensuring they are prepared according to state-specific requirements and timelines; act as the technical resource for carrier or state regulatory audits.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Legal/Compliance to guarantee that newly enacted state statutory and regulatory requirements are incorporated into systems configuration, training guidance, and workflow processes.
• Monitor team operations to ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and regulatory requirements; assist in creating and executing action plans as necessary.
• Promote and exemplify change management behaviors to support organizational transformation.
• Maintain high visibility of the Quality program by reporting on progress and achievements throughout the organization.
• Provide support and technical expertise to internal partners (e.g., Corporate Audit) as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Strong working knowledge of the Commercial Lines Excess & Surplus Lines industry.
• Advanced understanding of E&S compliance processes, surplus lines taxes and filings, as well as standard MGA or wholesaler processes and procedures.
• A minimum of four years of experience in a relevant business area, preferably within quality assurance.
• Ability to manage multiple high-volume tasks simultaneously while ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality outcomes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, focused on delivering error-free work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to collaborate across business areas and with senior leadership.
• Excellent coaching, feedback, and mentoring abilities, with the skill to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams on diverse business initiatives.
• High school diploma or equivalent, along with three years of experience in insurance, operations, or a related field.
