QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the quality assurance for our document product: Assume full responsibility for the quality of specific Pasito product experiences by testing essential, high-impact processes utilized by insurance carriers and partners, where precision, trust, and correctness are vital.

• Validate AI-assisted tools: Create and implement testing strategies for Pasito AI workflows, where you will confirm accuracy, reliability, edge cases, and failure modes in systems where outputs can vary and subtlety is crucial.

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) tests and establish a dependable testing environment: Design and uphold extensive E2E test coverage for key user journeys, ensuring confidence in releases and enabling the team to operate swiftly without compromising reliability.

• Balance between manual and automated testing: Utilize a strategic blend of exploratory, manual, and automated testing. You will recognize when automation provides leverage and when meticulous human assessment is vital for true quality.

• Focus on quality signals beyond test cases: Test various data flows, backend logic, and frontend interactions. You will assist the team in understanding risk by validating system behavior end-to-end, particularly in data-rich and workflow-intensive scenarios.

• Collaborate effectively with the team: Work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and non-technical colleagues. You will voice concerns early on, share ideas, and contribute to the evolution of quality definitions, measurements, and communication across the organization.

• Partner with the Forward Deployed team: Collaborate closely with the Forward Deployed team to ensure quality assurance for specific client portals, guaranteeing that product quality aligns with the unique and non-negotiable requirements of our most strategic clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in testing complex software systems.

• Highly proficient in QA fundamentals: test design, exploratory testing, regression strategies, and ensuring release confidence.

• Comfortable with testing AI-assisted systems, recognizing that AI outputs are probabilistic and necessitate nuanced validation.

• Technically inquisitive and hands-on, capable of understanding how systems function beyond the user interface.

• Collaborative, communicative, and pragmatic—you prioritize real product quality over theoretical perfection.
