Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Create and implement formal testing plans for high-quality software applications.

• Engage in test planning, develop test cases/scripts, and execute tests.

• Record defects and support their resolution.

• Monitor QA metrics, including defect counts, test outcomes, and test status.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp business and technical requirements for new features.

• Work closely with engineering and product teams early in the design phase to challenge decisions and highlight risks before development begins.

• Support the QA Manager in enhancing QA processes, standards, and guidelines using industry-standard best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on testing roles.

• Proficient in planning, preparing, and executing test plans, including project release testing.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and assisting in the resolution of defects.

• Experience working in an agile software development environment with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

• Experience testing RESTful Web Services and JSON messages.

• Competent in writing and executing SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and troubleshoot test-support data.

• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Quality Assurance best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
