This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Design, construct, and sustain automated testing frameworks for web-based digital platforms.
• Create and implement end-to-end, regression, functional, and integration test suites utilizing Playwright, BrowserStack, or similar tools.
• Minimize dependency on repetitive manual testing by pinpointing automation opportunities within essential workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions or equivalent deployment processes.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and technical leads to guarantee that new features are backed by appropriate automated test coverage.
• Establish organized test management, documentation, and reporting practices using tools like TestRail, Jira, GitHub, or similar platforms.
• Offer clear insights into product quality, test outcomes, release readiness, and risk areas.
• Assist the engineering team in defining best practices for creating testable, reliable, and maintainable software.
• Contribute to error tracking, defect documentation, root cause analysis, and ongoing quality enhancement.
• Ensure that production issues are documented, examined, and transformed into preventive automated test cases when suitable.
• Serve as a quality advocate within Agile teams, encouraging a proactive quality engineering mindset throughout the SDLC.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in QA Automation, Software Testing, SDET, or Quality Engineering positions.
• Robust hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, or equivalent.
• Experience in designing, scaling, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for web-based applications or digital platforms.
• Strong grasp of end-to-end testing, regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and cross-browser testing.
• Experience in constructing and maintaining automated test suites to diminish repetitive manual testing and enhance release confidence.
• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or comparable tools.
• Proficient in test management, defect tracking, and collaboration tools such as Jira, TestRail, GitHub, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Capability to work closely with software engineers, product owners, and technical stakeholders in Agile settings.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and current product release processes.
• Ability to identify quality risks, test coverage gaps, and automation possibilities across critical workflows.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Extensive knowledge of operating systems such as Windows or MacOS.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Latin America.
• Temporary contract.
