This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Develop end-to-end (E2E) test coverage across firmware, cloud, and mobile applications to validate device state, data consistency, and overall functionality.
β’ Evaluate device-to-cloud communication, taking into account network failures, reconnections, timeouts, offline operation, as well as OTA update and rollback scenarios.
β’ Assess cloud and local APIs, business logic, data validation, and error handling to guarantee dependable behavior across integration scenarios.
β’ Review device and cloud logs to troubleshoot issues, confirm command execution, and detect anomalies throughout system components.
β’ Create test data and configuration strategies tailored for various device types, users, environments, and intricate scenarios involving multiple devices.
β’ Recognize and prioritize E2E scenarios for automation, outline test specifications for automation engineers, and uphold stable smoke and regression testing procedures.
β’ Extensive QA experience with complex software products and the capability to design test coverage across firmware, backend APIs, and mobile applications.
β’ Strong skills in requirements analysis and systems thinking, with the ability to pinpoint dependencies and integration points among devices, cloud services, and applications.
β’ Practical experience in testing REST or gRPC APIs utilizing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or pre-existing automated tests.
β’ Background in analyzing device logs like UART or syslog, as well as cloud logs through tools such as Kibana or Sentry, alongside a fundamental understanding of embedded systems architecture.
β’ Experience in testing native or cross-platform mobile applications that engage with devices via BLE or Wi-Fi and cloud services.
β’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, constructing QA processes, managing test artifacts in platforms like Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Qase, or TestOps, and defining scenarios for test automation.
β’ Proficiency in English sufficient for comprehending technical documentation and engaging with an international team.
β’ Nice-to-haves: Experience with testing IoT or smart devices, including OTA updates, connectivity loss and recovery, and offline operations.
β’ Nice-to-haves: Basic skills in Python or JavaScript for developing simple test utilities, generating test data, parsing logs, or interpreting automated tests.
β’ Nice-to-haves: Experience with device simulators or emulators, network traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump, or security testing of device-to-cloud integrations.
