This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish with transparency, technical excellence, and accountability, ensuring high-quality standards across various teams.
• Serve as a bar raiser, enhancing quality and coding standards, fostering engineering excellence, and promoting ongoing improvements.
• Design, develop, and sustain effective and reliable automated tests for both frontend and backend using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Strategically approach test automation; collaborate with developers to ensure a balanced test coverage within the testing pyramid.
• Contribute to and refine the overall testing strategy, enhancing QA processes and metrics.
• Prepare and evaluate test plans to validate both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects to guarantee product excellence.
• Analyze test results and monitor key testing metrics to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement.
• Actively participate in project kick-offs to comprehend requirements, foresee risks, and influence testability from the project's inception.
• Advocate for user experience and product quality, working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to align QA objectives with delivery outcomes.
• Identify and communicate issues, risks, or dependencies early on, escalating concerns to product leadership when necessary.
• Mentor and support colleagues, nurturing an open and empathetic environment that promotes learning, feedback, and high-quality automation practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer.
• More than 3 years of demonstrated experience in test automation for both frontend and backend using Playwright.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript with experience in building scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, capable of influencing and aligning with both technical and product teams.
• High attention to detail, confidence in execution, and a strong drive to contribute to organizational growth in a high-performance environment.
• Experience in defining and implementing test automation standards across teams.
• Background in mentoring QA engineers in test design, coding practices, and quality ownership.
