Senior QA Engineer – E-commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Automated testing for distributed systems, microservices, and comprehensive data flows.

• Conducting API testing for RESTful services and integrating third-party solutions.

• Validation of asynchronous and event-driven data pipelines, along with message brokers.

• Testing intricate backend processes, which include large-scale file uploads and multi-stage processing.

• A strong emphasis on both automation and manual exploratory testing methodologies.

• Collaborating with Software Engineers and Product Managers through shift-left testing practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering.

• Extensive experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or PyTest.

• Proficiency in API testing utilizing REST APIs, Postman, and PyTest.

• Experience in testing web applications, APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.

• Strong capabilities in functional testing, including end-to-end and integration testing.

• Familiarity with validating third-party integrations, data flows, and API contracts.

• Practical experience in testing complex backend processes, file uploads, and data pipelines.

• Knowledge of SQL, message queues, and event-driven architectures.

• Understanding of distributed systems, Micro Frontends (MFE), and Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).

• Proficient in Python and/or JavaScript with solid object-oriented programming knowledge.

• Strong skills in problem-solving, test design, and effective communication.
