This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead testing initiatives for web applications, APIs, and integrations to guarantee exceptional quality in releases.
• Champion quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Create, implement, and sustain automated test suites utilizing Playwright (and other relevant automation tools as needed).
• Enhance the reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency of automation.
• Design and perform both automated and manual tests for RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Verify data integrity, business logic, error handling, and service dependability.
• Assess front-end workflows, user journeys, and the overall user experience.
• Ensure applications fulfill functional, usability, and accessibility standards.
• Document test cases, test outcomes, and defects clearly and comprehensibly.
• Collaborate closely with senior and principal engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and priorities.
• Confidently present testing results, quality risks, and recommendations, adjusting communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Navigate competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Focus testing on crucial business pathways while upholding long-term quality goals.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and disseminate testing best practices.
• Contribute to process enhancements and nurture a collaborative, quality-driven engineering culture.
• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• More than 2 years of practical automation experience.
• Extensive experience with Playwright (or Selenium/Cypress with a willingness to transition).
• Proven track record in testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Strong understanding of:
• Test planning.
• Test execution.
• Defect lifecycle management.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of bridging technical and non-technical dialogues.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities.
• Ability to swiftly grasp complex technical systems and engage in technical discussions.
• Collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.
• Capability to work independently while effectively partnering with distributed teams.
• Working hours: 7 AM - 4 PM - Brazilian timezone.
• Days of work: Monday - Friday.
• Employment type: Contractor - indefinite.
