Senior QA Engineer, C++

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement testing plans and strategies that align with functional requirements, user stories, and user acceptance criteria.

• Engage in release planning and product deployment activities.

• Conduct hands-on manual and automated testing, utilizing both "black" and "grey" box methodologies.

• Perform application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing for business applications in a client/server environment.

• Review, create, and maintain adaptable automated test scripts to support back-end QA automation efforts.

• Identify, monitor, and analyze recurring issues, bugs, and defects across various products, developing and implementing effective solutions to mitigate recurrence.

• Communicate product readiness, generate quality metrics, assess quality levels, and share results with Quality Assurance Management and project teams.

• Proactively identify deficiencies in QA and testing processes, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applications systems design, or a related field in data processing.

• Over 12 years of experience in the software quality assurance sector with a solid understanding of QA processes.

• Exceptional testing skills and experience with commercial software development processes, including SaaS or ASP for browser-based applications, as well as client/server and database-driven applications on Unix/Linux and Windows.

• Proven project management experience in successfully delivering multiple testing engagements using Agile methodologies, ideally within a global organization.

• Skilled in RDBMS and NoSQL databases, with the capability to write and optimize complex queries.

• Ability to design and execute test automation strategies.

• Proficient in Python, GitHub/SVN, and test management tools such as QTEST, JIRA, and Quality Center.

• Experience in testing and validating C++ applications.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Experience with migration, upgrades, integration, and end-to-end testing is required.

• Knowledge of performance tools (e.g., Apache JMeter, Load, Soak, Stress, Spike) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is advantageous.
