Senior QA Engineer – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct API testing for integrations utilizing tools such as Postman or REST clients.

• Assess routing logic.

• Expand and maintain automated test suite workflows and APIs.

• Develop API automation frameworks using JavaScript, Java, or Python.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for ongoing validation.

• Evaluate success, failure, and edge-case scenarios, including timeouts, retries, and duplicate transactions.

• Verify idempotency and error handling strategies.

• Execute exploratory and manual testing for intricate workflows.

• Confirm transaction data accuracy across APIs and databases.

• Write and run SQL queries for backend validation purposes.

• Conduct basic load and performance assessments for payment APIs.

• Validate system performance under high transaction volumes.

• Track and report latency, failure rates, and retry occurrences.

• Assist in validating production deployments and pilot rollouts.

• Monitor transaction success rates and error logs following releases.

• Collaborate on issue triage and expedite resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on API and backend testing.

• Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured.

• Familiarity with Playwright is a plus.

• Proficient in test automation using JavaScript, Java, or Python.

• Experience with SQL and database verification.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.

• Knowledge of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, and JSON.

• Awareness of error handling, retries, and behaviors in distributed systems.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
