This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Develop comprehensive and well-organized test plans and test cases in line with product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Explore the application beyond scripted scenarios to uncover edge cases, usability concerns, and unexpected behaviors.
• Thoroughly document issues with precise reproduction steps, expected versus actual outcomes, and relevant evidence such as screenshots and logs.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and address quality issues.
• Re-evaluate resolved defects to ensure they are completely fixed and do not introduce any new problems.
• Construct, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts according to product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks that facilitate functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Partner with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Execute automated test suites to verify that each feature operates as intended and adheres to quality standards.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to rectify defects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, encompassing both manual and automation testing.
• More than 3 years of experience in JavaScript, Typescript, and NodeJS.
• At least 3 years of experience in test automation design and implementation (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in native mobile test automation design and implementation (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack App Automate, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, Kobiton, Robot Framework, BitBar, LambdaTest Mobile, HeadSpin, Fastlane, Tricentis Testim, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in defining and executing test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
• Strong teamwork skills to align testing activities with Development, DevOps, and Product Management.
• Capability to critically assess requirements for quality, ensuring clarity, testability, and completeness.
• Proven ability to identify release risks, escalate issues, and advise against release decisions when quality standards or criteria are not satisfied.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/Agile/Scrum practices.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Demonstrated experience in integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with QA and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestPad, Qase, TestRail, Jira, Asana, Confluence).
