Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive and structured test plans and cases grounded in product specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability challenges, and unforeseen behaviors.

• Meticulously document issues with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, and pertinent evidence (such as screenshots and logs).

• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and address quality issues.

• Reassess resolved defects to ensure they are fully addressed and do not introduce new problems.

• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts in alignment with product specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks that accommodate functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Partner with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated tests within continuous integration and delivery processes.

• Execute automated test suites to confirm that each feature operates as intended and complies with quality benchmarks.

• Analyze test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with development teams to rectify defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, covering both manual and automated testing.

• More than 3 years of expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, and NodeJS.

• At least 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of test automation (e.g., utilizing Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in native mobile test automation design and implementation (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack App Automate, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, Kobiton, Robot Framework, BitBar, LambdaTest Mobile, HeadSpin, Fastlane, Tricentis Testim, or equivalent).

• Strong grasp of QA methodologies, test design strategies, and SDLC/Agile/Scrum practices.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Proficiency in QA and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestPad, Qase, TestRail, Jira, Asana, Confluence).

• Capability to critically assess requirements for quality, ensuring clarity, testability, and completeness.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
