Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive and well-organized test plans and cases aligned with product requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Explore the application beyond scripted scenarios to uncover edge cases, usability problems, and unexpected behaviors.

• Meticulously document issues with precise steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, and pertinent evidence (such as screenshots and logs).

• Collaborate extensively with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and address quality issues.

• Re-evaluate resolved defects to ensure they are completely fixed and do not create new problems.

• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts in accordance with product requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks that facilitate functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Partner with DevOps and development teams to incorporate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery processes.

• Execute automated test suites to verify that each feature performs as intended and meets quality benchmarks.

• Analyze test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with development teams to rectify defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, encompassing both manual and automated testing.

• Proven experience in defining and executing QA strategies for intricate software systems.

• At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and NodeJS.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in test automation design and implementation (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).

• Over 3 years of experience in native mobile test automation design and implementation (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack App Automate, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, Kobiton, Robot Framework, BitBar, LambdaTest Mobile, HeadSpin, Fastlane, Tricentis Testim, or equivalent).

• Expertise in defining and implementing test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.

• Strong collaboration skills to align testing activities with Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams.

• Ability to critically assess requirements for quality, ensuring clarity, testability, and completeness.

• Demonstrated capability to identify release risks, escalate concerns, and advise against release decisions when quality standards or criteria are not satisfied.

• In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/Agile/Scrum practices.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Proven experience in integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.

• Proficient in QA and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestPad, Qase, TestRail, Jira, Asana, Confluence).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional self-organizational skills and adaptability.

• Ability to work effectively in agile and fast-paced environments, adapting to shifting priorities, requirements, and delivery timelines.

• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
