Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive and well-organized test plans and cases derived from product specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Explore the application beyond predefined scenarios to uncover edge cases, usability concerns, and unforeseen behaviors.

• Carefully document issues with precise steps to replicate, alongside expected versus actual outcomes, and pertinent evidence such as screenshots and logs.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify specifications and address quality issues.

• Re-evaluate fixed defects to ensure they are completely resolved and do not introduce new complications.

• Create, sustain, and enhance automated test scripts in alignment with product specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks that facilitate functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Work in tandem with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery processes.

• Execute automated test suites to ensure that each feature functions as intended and meets quality benchmarks.

• Analyze test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with development teams to rectify defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, encompassing both manual and automation testing.

• More than 3 years of experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and NodeJS.

• At least 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of test automation (e.g., utilizing Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in native mobile test automation design and implementation (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack App Automate, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, Kobiton, Robot Framework, BitBar, LambdaTest Mobile, HeadSpin, Fastlane, Tricentis Testim, or equivalent).

• Proficiency in defining and executing test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.

• Strong collaborative abilities to synchronize testing initiatives with Development, DevOps, and Product Management.

• Capability to critically assess requirements for quality, ensuring clarity, testability, and completeness.

• Proven track record of identifying release risks, escalating issues, and recommending no-go decisions when quality standards or release criteria are unmet.

• In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/Agile/Scrum practices.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Established experience in integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.

• Proficiency in QA and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestPad, Qase, TestRail, Jira, Asana, Confluence).

• Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
