Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the testing strategy, covering both functional and non-functional aspects.

• Create and sustain test automation across various domains including web, API, E2E, and performance.

• Engage directly with coding and QA frameworks.

• Execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs), explore new technologies, and promote ongoing enhancements.

• Evaluate risks, trade-offs, and their implications on quality decisions.

• Collaborate with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud environments.

• Serve as a technical expert for quality within the team.

• Incorporate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior QA Engineer or in a comparable role.

• Strong proficiency in test automation methodologies.

• Familiarity with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

• Proficient in at least two programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#).

• Experience in API, integration, E2E, and performance testing.

• Knowledge of contemporary architecture including microservices and cloud technologies.

• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Understanding of practices like TDD, BDD, and CI/CD.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with AI applications in QA, such as test generation, failure analysis, and automation.

• Background in security testing (SAST, DAST, OWASP).

• Familiarity with accounting, tax, or financial systems.

• Experience with legacy systems (e.g., PowerBuilder).

• Hands-on, results-driven individual.

• Analytical mindset with a focus on product and business perspectives.

• Ability to influence technical decisions effectively.

• Proactive and self-sufficient.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
