Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement both manual and automated testing for BitcoinIRA web applications, mobile platforms, and back-end services, ensuring thorough coverage across functional, regression, and ad-hoc testing scenarios.

• Develop and sustain automated test suites that operate within the CI/CD pipeline, transitioning test scenarios from initial manual execution to full automation in production.

• Generate robust test data and scenarios that accurately reflect real-world user interactions, edge cases, and essential business workflows.

• Perform in-depth root-cause analysis on all identified defects, clearly communicating findings to engineering teams and stakeholders.

• Ensure the testability of software under development by involving developers and architects early in the process, identifying test requirements and constraints prior to code writing.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company's business requirements and convert them into detailed, accurate, and maintainable test coverage.

• Champion quality engineering practices within the team, elevating standards for how software is designed, developed, and delivered.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and articulate use cases; offer QA and testability insights during software architecture and design reviews.

• Actively engage in use case analysis sessions and sprint planning, providing QA perspectives at every phase of the software development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is mandatory.

• A minimum of three years of QA engineering experience in a technology-focused organization, demonstrating hands-on ownership of both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, data, and back-end systems. We seek someone who has constructed automated test suites from the ground up, integrated them into CI/CD pipelines, and instilled structure and rigor into QA processes in a dynamic engineering environment, rather than merely executing test cases created by others.

• Experience in fintech, financial services, or high-availability technology platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of cryptocurrency trading, digital asset custody, or self-directed retirement products will give you an edge. Familiarity with the specific quality and compliance requirements of regulated financial technology environments is advantageous.

• Expertise with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, or TestCafe. Practical experience in testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools. Intermediate SQL skills with experience in SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including data mining and analysis on large datasets. Familiarity with BDD testing methodologies and experience within structured SDLC processes. A working knowledge of software architecture and design concepts that allows for meaningful contributions to design reviews. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
