Senior QA Engineer

📋 Description

• Conduct manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications to ensure optimal functionality.

• Collaborate effectively with developers and product managers to grasp new features and assist in early-stage testing planning.

• Develop and maintain test cases that encompass both new functionalities and existing features, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

• Identify and report bugs with clarity, aiding developers in understanding the issues and devising solutions.

• Monitor the lifecycle of bugs from discovery to resolution and confirmation.

• Offer testing support to the development team throughout all phases of the development cycle.

• Enhance our test automation efforts by creating new tests and refining the testing framework, primarily using JavaScript.

• Engage in code and test reviews, providing constructive feedback and gaining insights from colleagues.

• Contribute to the establishment and enhancement of QA processes, ensuring that our testing is both efficient and dependable.

• Participate in release testing to guarantee that each new version is of high quality and ready for users.

• Assume full responsibility for the quality of specific product components.

• Conduct testing for both backend (API) and frontend applications, as well as mobile apps.

• Propose enhancements based on testing outcomes and user feedback.

• Report on status and quality during daily meetings, communicating any QA-related risks that could influence future releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 1 year focused on test automation.

• Solid understanding of QA processes and various testing methodologies (such as manual, automated, regression, end-to-end, and smoke testing).

• Proficient in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

• Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

• Good familiarity with JavaScript-based testing tools like Cypress or WebdriverIO.

• Experience in mobile test automation.

• Proven track record in writing comprehensive automated tests.

• Knowledge of SQL or PostgreSQL databases.

• Comfortable using tools such as Postman, JIRA, Git, and CI/CD platforms like CircleCI.

• Understanding of the Page Object Model and other testing design patterns.

• Experience in building or enhancing test automation frameworks.

• Confident in drafting clear test plans and bug reports.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; advanced proficiency in English for daily interactions, documentation, and meetings.

• Detail-oriented and dependable.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Curious, proactive, and willing to learn new tools and technologies.

• Strong communication skills; comfortable speaking up and asking questions.

• Adaptable to working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a distributed team.
