Senior QA Engineer

Posted Jun 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis of business requirements and technical specifications for web interfaces and backend systems, proactively questioning architectural assumptions to mitigate issues before they impact production.

• Function as a System Investigator - performing in-depth analyses of intricate multi-channel message flows utilizing platform logs, webhook payloads, and event traces to pinpoint root causes of delivery and logic defects across channels such as SMS, Telegram, Viber, and others.

• Develop and implement sophisticated end-to-end testing strategies that encompass the entire message lifecycle - from operator actions in the web UI, through API and channel gateways, to delivery confirmations - ensuring that client experiences align with anticipated behavior.

• Contribute to performance testing initiatives using Locust and other tools, assessing message delivery throughput, API response times under load, and system resilience during concurrent channel activities.

• Propel quality enhancements within an Agile framework, engaging in architectural reviews and brainstorming sessions to advocate for testability, observability, and system stability.

• Assist with ongoing Playwright-based automation efforts, collaborating with automation engineers to enhance coverage for critical UI flows and ensuring that automated quality checks remain reliable within the CI/CD pipeline.

• Maintain technical documentation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, ensuring that complex, hard-to-reproduce bugs are thoroughly documented and that the team gains insights from every significant defect.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software testing.

• Strong grasp of web platform testing (both UI and backend).

• Proficient in debugging logic defects across distributed flows.

• Experience with REST API testing (using Postman, curl, or similar tools).

• Demonstrated experience in validating webhook and callback flows.

• Knowledge of channel-specific delivery logic.

• Familiarity with API automation (using pytest, REST Assured, or similar frameworks).

• Basic scripting skills in JS/TS or Python for test tooling purposes.

• Experience working in Linux environments and with server log analysis.

• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for local and staging environments.

• Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring and dashboarding tools.
