• Foster a shift-left quality mindset within the team, ensuring that risks, assumptions, and edge cases are addressed early in the process.
• Recognize quality deficiencies in processes, tools, testing strategies, or collaboration, and convert them into actionable enhancements.
• Propose, lead, and implement quality initiatives such as risk-based testing, test plan definitions, and automation enhancements.
• Take ownership of and continuously enhance the team’s quality strategy, which includes test approaches, coverage, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and developers during refinement, design discussions, and Three Amigos sessions.
• Facilitate test planning for epics, features, and release cycles.
• Assist developers in becoming more proficient in managing their own testing responsibilities.
• Cultivate a culture of psychological safety and constructive feedback when addressing quality issues.
• Design and implement test plans and test charters for new features, intricate workflows, and high-risk areas.
• Conduct exploratory testing and aid the team in adopting structured testing techniques.
• Work alongside developers to establish unit and integration testing strategies.
• Contribute to end-to-end test automation, preferably using Cypress.
• Ensure the product is resilient in real user scenarios, including integration points and on-premises environments.
• Assume responsibility for confirming that releases adhere to the established quality standards.
• Promote the documentation of quality insights, risk registers, and regression strategies.
• Proactively identify quality issues with clear problem statements and recommended solutions.
• Monitor and communicate quality metrics to facilitate informed decision-making (avoiding vanity metrics).
• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within contemporary software product teams.
• Extensive experience in exploratory testing, risk-based testing, and structured test design.
• Demonstrated capability to identify quality gaps, suggest solutions, and spearhead improvements.
• Practical experience in planning and executing testing strategies for intricate features.
