Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of quality across a product area, managing processes from ideation and refinement to development, release sign-off, and post-release production verification.

• Establish clear and testable acceptance criteria while identifying risks prior to coding.

• Manage and enhance the Playwright/TypeScript E2E automation suite utilizing the Page Object Model, per-worker isolation, and seeded test data.

• Identify and resolve flaky tests by analyzing traces, videos, and network/console logs.

• Review application source code to determine the causes of failures.

• Evaluate automation pull requests to ensure adherence to maintainability standards.

• Integrate exploratory/manual testing with automation based on risk and value considerations.

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers within an Agile framework.

• Document well-supported defect reports and differentiate between product bugs and test artifacts.

• Validate releases in production, monitor for regressions, and share findings with the team.

• Oversee the maintenance of GitHub Actions CI, Qase test reporting, and test-data/seeding infrastructure.

• Develop scalable systems and implement reliable quality gates.

• Transform ideas from concept to independent end-to-end implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software QA, with significant hands-on experience in E2E UI automation.

• Proficient with a modern E2E framework, preferably Playwright; experience with Cypress/Selenium is transferable, along with strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with the Page Object Model and test architecture.

• Proven experience in addressing flaky tests effectively.

• Ability to read application code, including front-end and sufficient back-end to trace failures.

• Experience with CI/CD processes and Git PR workflows, including GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Confidence in debugging using CI artifacts.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing, supported by evidence.

• A proactive QA mindset with a commitment to quality throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Familiarity with test management tools such as Qase/TestRail is a plus.

• Experience with parallelism, isolation, and seeded/cloned fixtures is advantageous.

• Exposure to complex, stateful SPA UIs and authentication flows is a plus.

• Experience in establishing or advancing a QA function is an added advantage.

• Background in construction technology or complex B2B SaaS domains is beneficial.
