Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement thorough testing strategies for aviation maintenance, supply chain, and operational software solutions.

• Create and manage functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing plans.

• Validate AI-driven workflows, smart recommendations, predictive analytics, and agentic automation functionalities.

• Construct and sustain automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to establish acceptance criteria and quality requirements during feature design.

• Test integrations between Airvoyant and external enterprise systems, such as ERP, MRO, inventory, procurement, and supplier platforms.

• Verify data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across application workflows and reporting systems.

• Conduct API testing and confirm microservices interactions across distributed systems.

• Assist CI/CD pipelines through automated testing and release validation processes.

• Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor software defects until resolution.

• Execute performance, scalability, and reliability testing to ensure production readiness.

• Develop test data, test environments, and quality metrics to foster continuous improvement.

• Engage in root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for production issues.

• Document testing approaches, quality standards, and assessments of release readiness.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5–7+ years of experience in software quality assurance for enterprise applications.

• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, and quality processes.

• Experience in designing and executing automated testing frameworks utilizing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.

• Proficient in testing RESTful APIs and distributed systems with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.

• Strong SQL skills with experience validating data within relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar).

• Familiarity with testing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.

• Practical experience working in AWS environments and validating cloud-based applications and services.

• Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, IAM, and EventBridge.

• Experience in testing event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and cloud integrations within AWS ecosystems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated release validation processes.

• Understanding of modern software development practices, Agile methodologies, and DevOps workflows.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
