Senior QA Automation Engineer, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• You will create automated testing solutions for our clients, particularly in transformation projects and migrations.

• You will adeptly utilize a variety of test automation tools and frameworks according to project needs.

• You will develop (automated) test cases, including their documentation and reporting, and play an active role during the testing phase.

• You will define work packages and coordinate (sub-)projects, overseeing their implementation until business acceptance (sign-off).

• You will serve as an “innovator” in the realm of test automation, contributing to the enhancement of our test automation processes while promoting new ideas and approaches.

• You will be a “driver” for test automation and test management at Wavestone, continuously developing our colleagues and clients through training sessions.

• You will collaborate with IT and business colleagues to devise solutions for specific challenges, sometimes utilizing existing solutions and systems.

• You will cultivate professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of proposed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business informatics or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of practical experience in test automation, focusing on project- or program-level delivery.

• Expertise in commonly used test automation tools and frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of test management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TPI Next, TMMi) and their effective application.

• Experience with modern test automation tools, such as Tosca, and integrating testing into CI/CD and DevOps environments.

• A solid grasp of quality assurance practices and automation strategies within the financial services sector.

• Experience in interdisciplinary teamwork, contributing to both conceptual and coordination efforts.

• ISTQB or similar certifications are advantageous.

• Demonstrated strong customer orientation for both internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.

• A keen interest in AI-driven tools and the capability to utilize them in daily tasks.

• Proficiency in business German and a good command of English.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with customers.
