This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Take ownership, manage, and enhance the Digital Product UI and comprehensive automation framework (TypeScript + Playwright), ensuring it remains modular, dependable, and scalable for the team.
• Design and implement automated UI, end-to-end, API, regression, smoke, and redirect tests for the guest-facing web and mobile-web ordering experience.
• Develop cross-browser (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit) and responsive coverage for desktop/mobile-web using the Page Object Model, fixtures, and shared infrastructure patterns.
• Broaden API and integration test coverage for the digital ordering processes the product relies on — including REST endpoints, JSON payloads, schema validation, and third-party delivery/ordering connectors (e.g., DoorDash, UberEats, Olo, Order Connector) — as well as the data export and reporting flows linked to digital orders.
• Validate analytics and event tracking (GTM/GA4 dataLayer events) while employing API mocking and SSR payload interception to test intricate scenarios in a deterministic manner.
• Maintain and enhance automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Docker), ensuring regression suites are healthy, swift, and reliable.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot unreliable tests, and conduct root-cause analysis to identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Propel automation strategy and framework architectural decisions while contributing to cross-squad quality engineering standards.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows (e.g., Kiro, automated AI code review) to enhance test design, automation development, code review, troubleshooting, and engineering productivity.
• Mentor QA and automation engineers, exemplifying code quality and review discipline, while aiding in the development of the team's technical capabilities.
• Engage in and help facilitate sprint planning, test strategy discussions, and release validation activities.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Quality Engineering, including ownership of automation frameworks or extensive test suites.
• Proficient programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, along with a strong grasp of object-oriented and contemporary software design principles.
• Demonstrated experience in constructing and maintaining UI automation frameworks using Playwright (or similar tools like Selenium/Cypress), implementing patterns such as Page Object Model and fixtures.
• Extensive experience in testing REST APIs, handling JSON payloads, and applying JSON schema validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution, preferably with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Git, Node.js, and modern software development and code-review processes (linting, pre-commit hooks, PR discipline).
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis, including the ability to diagnose and stabilize flaky tests.
• Capability to quickly comprehend and contribute to large, existing codebases, while making sound architectural and maintainability decisions.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, test generation, documentation, or code review.
• Proven technical leadership: mentoring engineers, establishing standards, or driving automation/quality strategy.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a background in Agile/Scrum environments.
