Senior Engineer, Test Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the comprehensive test automation framework, utilizing Playwright as the key toolchain across UI, API, and integration layers.

• Create and uphold release validation documentation to ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP standards.

• Assess and implement AI-driven testing methods, including LLM-based test generation and intelligent failure triage, to widen coverage and minimize manual effort.

• Incorporate and sustain quality gates throughout CI/CD pipelines, balancing agility with the rigor necessary for a regulated setting.

• Collaborate with engineers during active development to prioritize quality early — writing tests in conjunction with features and identifying risks ahead of time.

• Contribute to enhancements in QA processes and share expertise with colleagues; you are a valued resource for others without being responsible for their management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Playwright and experience in building reliable and maintainable automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with GxP validation practices — you have participated in or authored traceability matrices and validation summary reports.

• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, or similar regulatory frameworks relevant to software systems.

• Interest in AI tools for testing — you have experimented with or are enthusiastic about exploring LLM-assisted test generation and failure analysis.

• Strong engineering fundamentals: capable of reading production code, debugging across the stack, and constructing test infrastructure that engineers find beneficial.

• Effective communication: able to articulate test strategies and risk trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum Experience: 5+ years in software or QA engineering, with significant depth in test automation.
