Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborating within a Scrum Squad consisting of 3-4 Developers and an additional Automation QA.

• Adhering to and upholding established QA best practices within the team.

• Working alongside the Product Owner and Squad to refine Stories and Acceptance Criteria, including specifications for AI-driven features.

• Partnering with the squad to design and evaluate test scenarios while developing Java Integration Tests and Angular/Typescript tests using Playwright.

• Quickly identifying overarching test strategies and quality risks, particularly those specific to AI/ML systems (such as hallucination, drift, and latency).

• Monitoring and reporting on quality trends, including bug churn.

• Utilizing AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI test generation tools) to enhance the efficiency of test authoring and analysis.

• Analyzing results from automation test runs.

• Complying with existing coding standards and practices.

• Engaging in a code review culture and fostering technical collaboration.

• Participating in squad meetings, including daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, Planning, Refinements, and technical discussions.

• Contributing to presentations and code workshops.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.

• Proficient in Java and Typescript, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

• Experience in API testing using Java.

• Familiarity with API Integration Testing to support regular production releases.

• Experience in Functional UI Testing using Playwright.

• Strong foundational knowledge in testing principles, including test design, defect management, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and S.O.L.I.D principles.

• Experience with Scrum methodology and agile development environments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes that facilitate automated testing.

• Proven ability to utilize AI tools in everyday engineering tasks (e.g., AI-assisted coding, test generation, or analysis).
