Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance robust automation frameworks utilizing modern tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.

• Write clean and maintainable automated test suites for web applications, API services, and various other application types.

• Integrate automated testing into Git-based CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions and Jenkins to facilitate continuous delivery.

• Execute and oversee functional, regression, integration, and specialized performance testing.

• Participate in requirement reviews to establish test scenarios, pinpoint edge cases, and guarantee maximum test coverage.

• Conduct root cause analysis of failures and collaborate directly with development and product teams to address defects and ensure quality metrics are achieved.

• Maintain test data, mocks, and environments while building specialized tools such as monitoring and reporting dashboards to enhance QA efficiency.

• Document test plans, test cases, automation design choices, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of overall QA processes and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation for backend services and cloud infrastructure.

• Strong proficiency with automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is essential.

• Solid understanding of REST APIs and automated API testing tools (Postman, Newman, REST Assured).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

• Familiarity with microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is advantageous.

• Bonus Points: Experience with performance testing tools (Locust, k6, JMeter), contract testing (PACT), fundamentals of security testing (OWASP), understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, and prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
