This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, construct, and sustain scalable automated testing suites using Playwright.
• Modify and enhance the current automation framework for significant platform initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product managers, senior QA Automation Developers, delivery leadership, stakeholders, and partners throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Clarify requirements and establish clear acceptance criteria from the outset.
• Promote quality across UI and API testing by utilizing monitoring signals, conducting incident reviews, and gathering customer feedback.
• Work with delivery leadership and stakeholders to prioritize automation coverage.
• Incorporate automated testing into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for ongoing coverage execution.
• Develop thorough test plans based on User Requirement Documents (URDs), Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), High-Level Designs (HLDs), product specifications, and design specifications.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing for critical projects and partner/client integrations.
• Utilize AI to expedite the development and maintenance of automated tests and disseminate effective practices.
• Enhance quality processes, documentation, team workflows, and standardize repeatable practices.
• Review and execute manual test cases within test management tools.
• Validate features according to test plans and incorporate relevant scenarios into the automated regression suite.
• Target 60–80% automation of essential test scenarios within a 90-day timeframe.
• Enable automation execution on pull requests within the CI/CD pipeline within six months.
• A minimum of 5 years of QA experience in testing SaaS or cloud-based applications.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining end-to-end (E2E) test suites.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Go is essential.
• Familiarity with MySQL or similar relational databases is advantageous.
• A record of prioritizing automation with reliable integration into CI/CD processes.
• Experience in full-stack testing across both UI and API layers.
• Proficiency in API validation using tools like Postman.
• Expertise in test architecture and scalable design.
• Experience with Page Object Model, data factories, and the separation of concerns.
• Agile experience and comfort with fast-paced release cycles.
• Knowledge of test management platforms such as Allure TestOps.
• Initiative and the capability to present a well-informed plan and perspective.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong preference for candidates who can work during Eastern Time hours.
