This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Design, test, implement, oversee, and sustain security automation solutions based on Python.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify operational challenges, clarify specifications, document design solutions, coordinate with stakeholders, and verify functionality.

• Create Python applications, services, APIs, workflows, internal tools, integrations, and reusable libraries.

• Develop API-driven integrations among security tools, cloud platforms, authentication systems, source code platforms, third-party services, and internal technologies.

• Construct security and compliance automation to gather, compare, validate, and act on data.

• Assess cloud resources against mandatory security tools and configuration standards.

• Create and maintain AI-enabled security automation utilizing large language models and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Implement secure integrations, AI governance controls, usage guardrails, and agentic security features.

• Automate source code analysis for security vulnerabilities, exposed secrets, and compliance with infrastructure standards.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, automated testing, documentation, and refactoring, while ensuring output validity.

• Diagnose application code, APIs, identity and authentication, cloud infrastructure, data flows, and automation runtime environments.

• Engage in code reviews, operational support, shared tooling, reusable modules, engineering documentation, and the enhancement of development practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience.

• Expertise in Python, encompassing the development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of production-quality code.

• Experience in building API-driven applications and integrations, including handling authentication, pagination, error management, retries, and logging.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, dependency management, and sustainable software design.

• Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and refactoring, including the ability to independently validate generated output.

• Practical experience with large language models and an understanding of or experience in developing Model Context Protocol (MCP)-based capabilities.

• Experience in creating or supporting automation within one or more cloud platforms, with knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native development concepts.

• Capability to work with incomplete or ambiguous requirements and independently explore unfamiliar tools, APIs, and technical environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-software-development stakeholders and take ownership of assigned tasks.

• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available, including for CPT/OPT.
