This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable automated testing frameworks utilizing Playwright.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product managers, and Senior QA Automation Developers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Clarify specifications and establish acceptance criteria at the outset.
• Enhance quality across UI and API testing by leveraging monitoring signals, incident analysis, and customer insights.
• Work with Delivery leadership, stakeholders, and partners to prioritize automation coverage.
• Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines for ongoing coverage.
• Create comprehensive test plans derived from User Requirement Documents (URDs), Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), High-Level Designs (HLDs), product specifications, and design guidelines.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing for significant projects and client or partner integrations.
• Employ AI to speed up the development and maintenance of automated tests, while sharing effective practices.
• Enhance quality processes, documentation, and team workflows.
• Review and carry out manual test cases, verify features against test plans, and incorporate relevant scenarios into automated regression coverage.
• Establish a functional automation framework and achieve 60–80% automation of critical scenarios within 90 days.
• Execute automation within CI/CD pull-request workflows within six months.
• Over 5 years of QA experience testing Software as a Service (SaaS) or cloud-based applications.
• Profound understanding of the entire SDLC and the role of Quality Engineering in development.
• More than 2 years of direct experience with test automation frameworks, specifically Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Proven experience in authoring and maintaining end-to-end test suites.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Go.
• Familiarity with MySQL or comparable relational databases is advantageous.
• A demonstrated track record of automation-first practices with dependable CI/CD coverage.
• Experience in full-stack testing, encompassing both UI and API layers.
• Proficient in API validation using tools like Postman.
• Expertise in test architecture and scalable design.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model, data factories, and separation of concerns.
• Agile fluency and adaptability to rapid release cycles.
• Experience with test management systems such as Allure TestOps.
• Proactive and capable of presenting a plan and perspective.
• Openness to utilizing AI tools in daily tasks.
• Candidates must reside in Canada.
• Preference for candidates available to work Eastern Time hours.
