QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily functions and activities of testing teams within the QA department

• Plan, budget, and evaluate user needs, procedures, and issues to automate processes or enhance current systems

• Assess user specifications, design documents, and other relevant materials to create comprehensive test cases

• Develop and execute automated functional and regression test cases

• Document and report issues, completed test cases, test outcomes, and testing summaries

• Conduct manual testing and data validation

• Run SQL queries to analyze and manage data

• Work collaboratively with the LASO development team and clients to comprehend the functionality being tested, outline test case automation, and share insights

• Carry out performance and accessibility testing

• Assist in the rollout of applications and projects within the LASO group

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 years of experience in testing intricate web applications

• 6 years of automation experience utilizing Java and TestNG

• 5 years of proficiency in SQL

• 4 years of experience with Playwright

• 4 years of experience in workflow-driven automation

• 4 years of experience with JMeter/WAPT Pro or another load-testing tool

• 3 years of experience with GitHub Copilot skills

• Preferred: 2 years of prior experience with Zephyr Scale

• Preferred: 2 years of prior experience with Jira

• Preferred: 2 years of experience with Texas state government agencies or Texas school systems

• Preferred: 2 years of experience with Grants or In-Kind programs

• May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays with prior approval from the agency

• Candidates based in Texas are preferred

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays
