Senior QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Verity is on the lookout for fresh talent!

• The QA Analyst will be tasked with ensuring the quality of the solutions developed by the squad, overseeing everything from requirements refinement to the validation of releases in production.

• Play a crucial role in defect prevention, structuring test scenarios, and continuously enhancing quality processes.

• Actively engage in agile ceremonies, refinement sessions, and technical discussions, contributing to the establishment of acceptance criteria.

• Analyze both functional and technical requirements, pinpointing risks, impacts, and critical scenarios for validation.

• Plan, design, and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cases.

• Validate both frontend and backend applications as well as integrations between systems.

• Conduct API and service testing, taking into account REST, SOAP, queues, and other architectural components.

• Log, document, and track defects, assisting the team in root cause analysis and prioritization of fixes.

• Support log analysis and technical evidence collection to identify failures and inconsistencies.

• Participate in release acceptance, ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria and the quality standards defined by Porto.

• Compile test evidence and assist in maintaining documentation of validated scenarios.

• Contribute to the advancement of the squad’s test strategy by suggesting improvements to processes, tools, and quality metrics.

• Aid in the implementation and enhancement of automated tests where applicable.

• Collaborate closely with Developers, Technical Leads, Functional Analysts, and Product Owners to guarantee reliable and maintainable deliveries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress in Technology or related fields.

• Experience in planning, designing, and executing software tests.

• Familiarity with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Experience in validating APIs using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or similar.

• Knowledge of integration protocols and technologies including HTTP/HTTPS, REST, and SOAP.

• Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries for data validation.

• Familiarity with backlog management and defect tracking tools like Jira or similar.

• Experience working within Agile teams.

• Strong analytical skills for investigating problems and analyzing logs.

• Well-organized in documenting scenarios, evidence, and test results.

• Experience with API and web application test automation.

• Knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or similar.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with performance, load, or availability testing.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Experience with projects related to customer service platforms, chatbots, or integrations across digital channels.

• Familiarity with testing applications developed in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
