Senior Python Engineer, Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for backend features and enhancements, overseeing the process from design to implementation, deployment, and production support.

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable, high-performance backend services utilizing Python and Django.

• Create and uphold integrations with external systems, including KYC, geolocation, payment partners, and various third-party services.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define and deliver new integrations.

• Implement observability throughout integration flows, encompassing monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and enhance overall test coverage and testing practices.

• Address production issues and participate in on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of development experience, with Python as the primary programming language and substantial experience in API and system integrations.

• Demonstrated expertise in integrating third-party APIs, with a comprehensive understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling. **Experience with Payments and KYC integrations is a significant advantage.**

• Familiarity with observability tools to monitor and resolve production integrations.

• Strong foundational knowledge in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.

• Experience in designing the architecture of highly loaded and scalable solutions.

• Robust understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring.

• Willingness to engage in on-call rotations.
