Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices utilizing Python.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, including authentication, RBAC, and third-party integrations.

• Contribute to the integration of real-time voice pipelines (SIP / WebRTC / LiveKit).

• Develop connections with external systems such as Zoho CRM and Google/Microsoft Calendar.

• Deploy and manage services on AWS, utilizing ECS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and S3.

• Maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with Bitbucket Pipelines.

• Containerize applications using Docker and Docker Compose.

• Collaborate with AI, frontend, and DevOps teams, participating in code reviews and release processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python, with practical experience in designing and maintaining microservices architectures.

• Extensive experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Practical knowledge of AWS services, including ECS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and S3.

• Experience with containerized applications using Docker and Docker Compose.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows, such as Bitbucket Pipelines or similar tools.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to work in complex, distributed environments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to generate clear technical documentation and communicate effectively across teams.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum settings, contributing to code reviews, design discussions, and release cycles.

• Preferred: Familiarity with real-time voice/telephony systems (SIP, WebRTC, LiveKit).

• Exposure to AI/LLM or conversational voice platforms (prior experience with Nova Sonic is not necessary).

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture.

• Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Skills in performance and latency optimization for real-time systems.

• Experience with third-party integrations, including CRM, calendars, and external APIs.
