This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• The Project Manager is accountable for the planning, execution, and completion of research projects in alignment with the reasonable expectations of the project's originator.
• The Project Manager oversees all facets of study management activities, including leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client communications, handling financial aspects, and ensuring overall study delivery.
• The Project Manager must guarantee that studies are adequately resourced, managed efficiently, meet project goals within set budgets and timelines, and are conducted to the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory mandates, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• The Project Manager provides mentorship and coaching to Junior Project Management staff or Clinical Delivery Leads, aiding in their technical development.
• Manage projects independently or with assistance from Portfolio Delivery Leads or Line Manager.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a scientific or related discipline.
• Prior experience working on clinical projects within an academic, CRO, or pharmaceutical setting.
• Approximately seven (7) years of industry experience is preferred for this role, including a minimum of 2-3 years in project management.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or in a site management role, trial coordination, or other relevant industry experience is required.
• Proven experience managing projects across single or multiple regions, working with various therapeutic areas, and overseeing full-service studies, particularly in early-phase clinical trials.
• Strong working knowledge of, and ability to implement project activities in compliance with, ICH/GCP and all relevant regulations and guidelines in the applicable regions.
• Prior exposure to client-facing roles and/or client management.
• Experience in project finance management.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and team leadership skills, including the ability to lead virtual teams in a cross-cultural setting and manage conflicts effectively.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with exceptional presentation abilities.
