This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Plan, manage, and organize projects of varying sizes.
• Secure project work by crafting proposals for both new and existing clients.
• Supervise a team of engineers to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in line with code and client specifications.
• Guarantee the engineering and financial success of assigned projects.
• Delegate tasks and assignments to team members based on their expertise, experience, and time constraints.
• Serve as a liaison, communicating effectively with internal clients, external clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Address any questions or concerns from internal and external clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct risk assessments, report identified risks to management, and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Ensure project compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Collaborate with project design teams to ensure multiple concurrent projects are completed accurately and efficiently, on time, and to specifications.
• Occasionally act as the lead engineer on large projects.
• Prepare redline drawing markups and review markups provided by support staff for implementation by the drafting department.
• Maintain a positive working environment with colleagues.
• Develop and implement project budgets based on contracted fees.
• Outline project tasks, create task lists and schedules, and assign responsibilities accordingly.
• Mentor engineers and project managers to enhance their technical skills and efficiency.
• Conduct quality control reviews following established protocols.
• Perform cost analysis and estimate anticipated costs for project proposals.
• Develop and maintain electronic and hard-copy project file records in accordance with established protocols.
• Keep accurate records of contracted fees in the company project accounting system, organized per established protocols.
• Review and approve client invoices promptly.
• Assist in managing aged accounts receivable balances following established protocols.
• Submit prime and subconsultant contract agreements, purchase order terms, lien waivers, and non-disclosure agreements to the contracts team for legal and insurance review and negotiation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of legal language pitfalls in contract agreements.
• Actively seek new work and clients, either directly or through referrals.
• Establish, nurture, and continuously improve relationships with existing clients to foster business development.
• Collaborate with management, business development, and marketing teams to share information that aids in promoting the company, acquiring new clients, and retaining existing ones.
• Provide performance feedback for co-workers.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Engage in continuing education webinars and sessions to maintain required professional development hours for state licensing.
• Participate in networking and business development activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis, or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Professional Engineer (PE/SE) registration is preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience is preferred.

• Proven time management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of project requirements or the capability to rapidly learn them.
• Proficiency in Risa 3D, RAM, Tedds, or another company-approved structural analysis software.
• Ability to present handwritten calculations in a systematic and clear manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for maintaining accurate project records.
