Senior Project Manager, Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead intricate federal technology and digital services projects from the discovery phase to deployment.

• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources to ensure positive project outcomes.

• Facilitate Agile delivery processes, which include sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with technical leads to convert requirements into actionable project plans and user stories.

• Actively identify risks and create strategies for mitigation.

• Manage project budgets, burn rates, forecasts, and resource allocations effectively.

• Monitor scope changes and assist with the change order processes.

• Ensure accurate project reporting, revenue forecasting, and invoicing.

• Enhance project profitability and operational efficiency.

• Act as a trusted advisor and the primary point of contact for federal clients on the project.

• Conduct status meetings, project reviews, and manage stakeholder communications.

• Promote high client satisfaction and excel in CPARS performance.

• Lead cross-functional teams comprising designers, developers, strategists, and subcontractors.

• Perform project health checks and retrospectives.

• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of project management experience (or a Master's degree with 7+ years), specifically in leading federal government technology, digital services, web, CMS, cloud, data, or digital transformation projects.

• PMP certification is required, alongside a strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, resource allocation, and overall financial performance of projects.

• Strong knowledge of federal contracting environments, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts, FAR/DFARS requirements, and federal procurement processes.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, client relationship, and stakeholder management skills.

• Capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.
