Senior Project Manager – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering activities for assigned clinical study projects to ensure the achievement of project objectives related to quality, scope, cost, and timeline.

• Act as the primary contact point and escalation resource for the client.

• Oversee all functional services, including external vendors, ensuring adherence to the established timeline and budget.

• Manage the study budget, ensuring the project stays within scope and identifying any out-of-scope activities early for appropriate handling.

• Foster integrated collaboration with clinical operations during delivery and participate in clinical activities as necessary.

• Create detailed and comprehensive project plans, including timelines and proactive risk management strategies, to ensure consistent and high-quality execution of trial parameters.

• Guarantee quality management for assigned projects, which includes eTMF Inspection readiness and the implementation of quality notification incident forms and/or corrective and preventative action plans to address any quality issues.

• Maintain collaborative integration with all functional operations during program delivery and review other study documentation as needed.

• Establish tracking metrics to monitor trial and team progress toward achieving project goals.

• Prepare project status updates and report progress to clients and senior management, including key performance indicators, while offering solutions and opportunities as they arise.

• Facilitate both internal and client meetings, setting clear expectations for the project team.

• Effectively communicate with clients and Precision management regarding protocol/study issues, including any deviations, and implement necessary actions in response to these issues.

• Capable of delivering formal presentations to diverse audiences, including colleagues, investigative staff, and clients, with proficiency during Bid Defenses.

• Ensure that study-specific training is implemented in collaboration with functional areas and maintain compliance with training requirements throughout the project duration.

• Support business development and marketing efforts as needed, which may involve travel to Bid Defense meetings.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Remain compliant with organizational training, time-reporting, and other administrative responsibilities as required.

• Provide ongoing feedback to functional team members, including conducting annual performance reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• North America: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a science or health-related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

• EU: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a science or health-related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of clinical research experience or proven competencies for this role, with at least 4 years of direct project management experience.

• Experience in managing complex and global trials.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC, and CTMS.

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with others in a team environment.

• Proven organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented attitude.
