Senior Project Manager – Dynamics ERP Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the delivery process for large, intricate projects that align with the goals of the organization and the business outcomes of clients.

• Oversee project scope, timelines, budget, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, change management, and baseline control.

• Define ownership, decision-making authority, communication schedules, project objectives, success criteria, and priority trade-offs in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Drive the management of risks, issues, and dependencies with proactive mitigation strategies and prompt escalation.

• Implement Hitachi Solutions' delivery methodology, including stage gates, project health assessments, and standardized delivery practices.

• Manage project budgets ranging from $2M to over $10M, including forecasting, budget versus actual reviews, awareness of EAC, margin protection, and financial variance actions.

• Identify any scope changes, lead re-estimations, and create, estimate, and deliver Change Orders.

• Lead or assist with Steering Committee governance, stage-gate readiness, executive status updates, decision-making processes, and value alignment.

• Report on progress, risks, necessary decisions, delivery challenges, and corrective measures to both customers and internal stakeholders.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO and Delivery Excellence processes, including lessons learned, reusable practices, tools, templates, and reporting discipline.

• Provide support for project escalations, establish accountability, mentor delivery behaviors, resolve conflicts, and address any capability or execution deficits.

• Guide teams through uncertainty, facilitate timely decision-making, balance competing priorities, and reinforce disciplined execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in professional services project management.

• A minimum of 5 years of ERP implementation experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

• At least 5 years of experience with consultancy implementation partners.

• Demonstrated project management experience in deploying ERP, CRM, Dynamics 365, Azure, and/or broader cloud solutions within a client-facing consulting context.

• Proven ability to manage multi-platform, multi-workstream projects involving onshore, offshore, client, and delivery teams.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with senior management, business and IT executives, customers, vendors, and internal delivery leadership.

• Practical experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, CPM, Waterfall, hybrid delivery methodologies, and standard governance controls.

• Established success in delivering measurable project outcomes within a consulting environment.

• Proven capability in leading teams of over 20 consultants across various time zones, including offshore resources.

• Demonstrated expertise in project controls, including detailed project planning, scope, scheduling, budget baselines, progress tracking, financial tracking, variance analysis, and corrective actions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).

• PMP certification (preferred).

• Advanced proficiency in Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and project delivery tools.

• Expertise in schedule management, critical path analysis, baseline control, forecasting, and project controls.

• Experience with Power BI and KPI-driven delivery management.

• Proven experience managing project financials, including EACs, margin management, variance analysis, and commercial forecasting.

• Experience leading executive governance, project health reviews, and stage-gate processes.

• Experience in delivering Microsoft cloud, ERP, CRM, or digital transformation initiatives.

• CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent agile delivery certification (preferred).
