Senior Project Manager – Design & Construction Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee numerous projects related to the construction of new hospitals, renovations, or research facilities from the ground up.

• Include comprehensive design-build construction elements and equipment installation.

• Create and execute detailed solutions for intricate project challenges by collaborating with advanced stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).

• Assist in the RFP process concerning design, construction, and installation topics.

• Participate in presale meetings with Account Executives (AEs) and support customer relationships as needed.

• Conduct site visits to obtain measurements, generate cost estimates, review quotes, and assess key project success factors, including electrical, mechanical, and construction requirements with customers.

• Work with customers to optimize equipment layouts and clinical workflows for integration into drawings and project plans.

• Responsible for the overall management of Design and Construction Services (DCS) projects to meet business volume goals while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

• Communicate customer specifications to planners for the development of preliminary and final site-specific CAD drawings.

• Relay project information, status updates, schedule, and scope changes to both internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, architects, engineers, contractors, administration, and Siemens Sales and Service partners.

• Assist in the creation, coordination, and finalization of project schedules for system production, delivery, installation, and applications.

• Regularly update internal and external stakeholders on project schedules, risks, and other relevant issues.

• Perform frequent site visits to monitor progress on site preparations, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule to meet assigned project completion dates that affect Siemens profitability.

• Maintain accurate and relevant data in the appropriate data systems and Project Management tools.

• Coordinate and adjust schedules as necessary to minimize unexpected cost increases, maintain costs, and enhance overall profitability for Siemens while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

• Complete mandatory Siemens forms and checklists at designated project milestones.

• Facilitate or assist in the training of other Project Managers, and engage in Advisory Boards, task force activities, special projects, etc.

• Adhere to Siemens and customer policies, including safety, regulatory, dress codes/appearance, and business conduct.

• Follow all Siemens quality control protocols and escalation procedures in project communications.

• Maintain optimal communication practices—respond promptly to daily phone calls, emails, and written messages.

• Manage travel and office expenses to control costs and maintain Siemens assets (telephones, cars, tools, etc.) to ensure longevity and prevent breakdowns.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Previous or current experience in healthcare construction.

• At least 8+ years of complex project management experience, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience interacting with executive-level management and clinicians within a diverse customer organization.

• Ability to read and interpret design drawings.

• Extensive experience successfully managing matrix project teams, third-party vendors, and operating within a large corporate structure.

• Knowledge of the construction industry, including electrical, plumbing, structural, and HVAC systems.

• Proficiency in CAD is required.

• Familiarity with AIA contracting and payment processes.

• Knowledge of Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are preferred.

• Familiarity with Siemens capital medical imaging equipment is preferred.

• PMP Certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 50-75%.
