Senior Project Manager – CPQ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for the delivery of business-driven projects supported by IT solutions.

• Collect requirements throughout the stages of building, testing, deploying, adopting, and transitioning into live service.

• Act as the business representative during the entire delivery process in collaboration with the IT Technical Delivery Lead.

• Oversee and manage project plans, budgets, risk and issue logs, dependency lists, and governance reporting.

• Execute system integration tasks, which include interface specifications, master data alignment, data migration, cutover planning, and reconciliation.

• Manage web-based platform and application projects, encompassing requirements definition, accessibility, content and data ownership, and release planning.

• Organize and facilitate UAT, which involves test scripts, coordination of business testers, defect triage, and go/no-go evidence.

• Engage with stakeholders, business sponsors, and manage resource allocation to achieve business benefits.

• Implement business change and adoption initiatives, including impact assessments, process updates, training, communications, and post-implementation support.

• Supervise technology suppliers and development partners, focusing on scope, performance, change control, and acceptance of deliverables.

• Ensure projects adhere to quality management standards, computerized system validation, data integrity, and information security requirements.

• Communicate project updates through PMO tools, steering committees, and regular briefings.

• Address daily issues and competing priorities, escalating matters that exceed project authority.

• Provide guidance and informal coaching to Project Managers and team members.

• Contribute insights and lessons learned to PM&OE delivery frameworks, templates, and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A formal qualification in project management at a practitioner level or an equivalent mix of relevant education and applicable work experience.

• Proven experience in delivering complex IT system projects within agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards in a multi-site organization.

• Familiarity with ERP implementation or integration tasks, including interface specifications, master data handling, data migration, and cutover procedures.

• Experience in delivering web development projects, including requirements definition, iterative builds, and rolling out into live service.

• Ability to advocate for business interests in technology delivery and translate operational needs into system requirements.

• Experience in planning and conducting UAT, including crafting test scripts, defect triage, and gathering go/no-go evidence.

• Background in business change and adoption activities, such as process updates, training delivery, and post-implementation support.

• Experience managing technology suppliers and development partners through the acceptance of deliverables.

• Technical proficiency in application integration, interfaces, databases, and data structures.

• Familiarity with quality management systems, computerized system validation, data integrity, and ISO or regulatory requirements.

• Practical skills in project planning, including scheduling, critical path analysis, budget tracking, and risk and issue management.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities and capability to influence without direct authority.

• A degree in a scientific, engineering, business, or computing discipline is preferred.

• Experience with ERP platforms such as IFS, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.

• Background in diagnostics, genomics, or life sciences, including LIMS or MES, is preferred.

• Working knowledge of agile delivery frameworks and hybrid agile/stage-gate environments is preferred.

• Formal qualifications in business analysis, Lean, or Six Sigma are preferred.

• Experience working across US and EMEA time zones is preferred.
