Senior Project Manager – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Acts as a pillar of consistency, reliability, and expertise within the Project Management Office (PMO)

• The Senior Project Manager exceeds the expectations of “on-time, on-budget, and on-scope” to truly engage as a stakeholder in project success

• Energizes and confidently manages daily priorities

• Tailors communication and management approaches according to the requirements of a diverse internal team comprising strategy, creative, and technology partners

• Serves as an advocate throughout the entire project life cycle

⛳️ Requirements

• Remote position; 9:00am - 5:00pm EST

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not mandatory

• Over 7 years of project management experience; experience in consulting and agency settings is preferred

• Proven experience working with enterprise-level clients

• Experience in the utility or highly regulated industries is essential

• A strong desire for knowledge and an eagerness to learn continuously

• PMP, CSM, Agile-related certification or equivalent is desirable

• Familiarity with web application and mobile application projects

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• A strong servant leadership approach

• Proficient in problem-solving and conceptual thinking to suggest effective approaches and methods

• Detail-oriented

• Comprehensive knowledge of both waterfall and agile methodologies with an aspiration to become certified in agile methodologies

• Skilled in translating technical jargon for both internal and external communications

• Ability to lead effectively under pressure to produce the highest quality deliverables

• Outstanding presentation skills and comfort in speaking during both internal and client meetings

• Excellent time management and interpersonal abilities

• Strong capability to supervise project teams and independently manage multiple projects

• Proficient in Google Workspace and Project Management tools, including Azure Dev Ops (required), Jira, and Confluence
