Project Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the development of solar photovoltaic and battery storage projects in Germany.

• Assuming full responsibility for the progression of German projects until they are ready-to-build (RTB).

• Managing permitting processes (solar, BESS, and grid connection) and ensuring grid capacity, which includes coordinating grid connection solutions.

• Taking charge of development budgets, timelines, and project outcomes.

• Facilitating collaboration among the local development team, German regional management, and other internal stakeholders.

• Building and maintaining relationships with landowners, permitting authorities, grid operators, advisors, and other key stakeholders.

• Identifying pertinent stakeholders and engaging them in process creation and adaptation efforts.

• Communicating and coordinating planned process enhancements and modifications with the Team Lead.

• Managing relationships with landowners, municipalities, permitting authorities, internal teams, external partners, and grid operators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in urban planning, business administration, geography, management, project management, renewable energy, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects in Germany, with a demonstrated history of large-scale project development.

• Expertise in securing land and grid capacity, along with knowledge of land-use planning and permitting.

• Proficient in MS Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

• Willingness to travel.

• Proficient in German (spoken and written) – Required.

• Proficient in English – Preferred.
