Senior Project Manager – Broadcast Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the scope, timeline, budget, quality, and client satisfaction for broadcast projects throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Supervise and execute project management tasks for broadcast initiatives, including budgets and scopes.

• Serve as the accountable individual with direct oversight of assigned project activities.

• Oversee project communications, schedules, task lists, deliverables from the consulting team, and project completion.

• Ensure consulting projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and at high customer satisfaction levels.

• Enhance existing Diversified project processes.

• Build and sustain long-term client relationships, focusing on expectations, communication, and satisfaction.

• Provide leadership and accountability for projects within Diversified.

• Coordinate with stakeholders, assign responsibilities, and facilitate both client and internal project meetings.

• Support team members and guarantee regular communication with stakeholders.

• Resolve conflicts effectively.

• Design, plan, and coordinate work teams for Media and Entertainment consulting projects.

• Establish communication channels with Account Executives, Directors, consultants, subject matter experts, and clients.

• Develop and disseminate project updates.

• Monitor labor budgets, project expenses, timelines, staffing, and profitability.

• Provide or direct technical and administrative support to project team members.

• Maintain project timelines and coordinate deliverable documentation.

• Facilitate document reviews and generate punch lists post substantial completion.

• Engage contractors when necessary.

• Ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement.

• Manage transitions of projects to later-phase project teams.

• Report on project financials and ensure prompt and accurate client billing.

• Communicate decision options to stakeholders and oversee project-related decisions.

• Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and ensure safety documentation for client site visits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, particularly in consulting.

• More than 5 years of experience managing complex broadcast infrastructures/projects ($10–30M), matrix managing over 6 professionals, and overseeing annual budgets exceeding $1M.

• Familiarity with broadcast operations and technologies.

• Proficiency with hardware- and software-based solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to manage design/build projects for the Media business unit.

• Ability to identify and resolve complex technical, political, and interpersonal issues.

• Knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems.

• Understanding of high-definition, UHD, and HDR video systems utilizing analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.

• Comprehension of TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and wireless access points.

• Proven history of successfully completing engineering projects.

• Understanding of project phases including Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction, and Commissioning.

• Demonstrated knowledge of consulting processes such as discovery, business analysis, gap analysis, workflow documentation, conceptual system diagrams, roadmaps, presentations, and written narratives.

• Awareness of systems integration, architectural drawings, construction drawings, and specifications.

• Detail-oriented, independent, and a self-starter.

• Exceptional time management capabilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to analyze complex issues and articulate concise messages.

• High-level problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.

• SPMP certification from the Project Management Institute is preferred.

• Other relevant certifications, including Certified Scrum Master, may be required or preferred based on the technology focus.
