Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the comprehensive delivery of our most intricate, high-value, and high-risk implementation projects, from initial scoping to go-live and subsequent phases.

• Navigate through ambiguous scenarios with confidence, providing direction and establishing a clear path where one may not currently exist.

• Create detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and strategies for resource allocation for projects of considerable scale and complexity.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of Thrive's product offerings, ensuring that technical deliverables align with platform requirements and customer needs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications, architectural frameworks, and design guidelines.

• Direct the technical execution of LMS implementation projects, guaranteeing smooth configuration, data migration, and integration with third-party systems (e.g., HR systems, CRM, content libraries).

• Assess customer technical requirements, detailed specifications, and user stories to ensure clarity of scope and alignment with the documented needs in the statement of work.

• Supervise User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles and manage the resolution of technical defects and feature gaps.

• Act as the technical liaison between customers and Thrive's Product & Engineering teams to facilitate solution design and feature deployment during the implementation phase.

• Serve as a point of escalation for colleagues encountering delivery challenges, assisting in unblocking and resolving issues.

• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders up to the executive and sponsor level, ensuring their needs and expectations are addressed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of demonstrable success as a Project Manager, with substantial experience in leading complex, enterprise-scale LMS implementations or enterprise software deliveries.

• A proven history of mentoring and developing other project managers while enhancing delivery standards across a team.

• A track record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction and advocacy on high-value accounts.

• A keen eye for protecting margins, minimizing risks to renewals, and identifying opportunities for account growth.

• Strong technical comprehension of LMS technologies, including integrations and APIs, SCORM/xAPI content standards, SSO protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth), user provisioning, and data integration methods.

• Capable of writing or reviewing functional specifications, interpreting API documentation, and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams during software development and configuration phases.

• Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage resources effectively for complex projects.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent formal certification is required.

• Familiarity with tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Miro, and Notion.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a variety of audiences, from end users to executives.

• An analytical approach to foresee and address project risks and challenges, often with incomplete information.

• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
