Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of intricate projects within the Grid Automation solutions sector

• Ensure that project objectives align with broader business goals

• Effectively manage project budgets, schedules, and resources

• Uphold safety and quality standards throughout the entire execution process

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams

• Maintain clear communication and manage expectations throughout the lifecycle of all projects in the portfolio

• Create comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource allocation

• Employ planning and scheduling tools to track progress, manage the critical path, and ensure timely project delivery

• Achieve optimal budget management by developing a clear work breakdown structure

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that arise during project execution

• Ensure that all project deliverables satisfy quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements

• Prepare and deliver regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders

• Keep accurate and thorough project documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline

• At least 7 years of experience in project management within the energy or Grid Automation industry

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-dimensional projects

• Familiarity with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly advantageous

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or an equivalent certification is preferred

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira)

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and offices as required by the project plan (approximately 20%)
