Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the company's construction and performance contracting initiatives.

• Advocate for and promote the vision, mission, and values of the Company.

• Ensure compliance with internal Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, and Controls standards.

• Accountable for maintaining project adherence to Employment and Payroll regulations.

• Develop project management plans for industrial construction endeavors.

• Assist in the planning, initiation, and execution of work breakdown structures (WBS).

• Attend and prepare for meetings with clients.

• Compile and report project progress on a weekly and monthly basis.

• Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including during Executive-level meetings.

• Manage and coordinate safety and quality initiatives for projects.

• Aid in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of the project construction schedule.

• Review, control, and monitor daily labor, equipment, and materials usage.

• Identify changes in project scope or differing site conditions.

• Ensure that all necessary project and regulatory inspections are conducted.

• Prepare and expedite the resolution of project deficiency lists.

• Manage the financial aspects of contracts.

• Proactively address and resolve challenges as they arise.

• Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with vendors, contractors, sub-contractors, and clients.

• Coach and mentor direct reports, providing guidance and performance reviews.

• Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts.

• Collaborate and cooperate with various operational and supporting departments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.

• Over 15 years of experience as a Project Manager in General Construction and Mining.

• PMI/PMP designation is a plus.

• Familiarity with Procore software is advantageous.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Must possess a solid understanding of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning concepts.

• Experience supporting the planning, initiation, and execution of work breakdown structures (WBS), work packages, cost accounts, and earned value methodology.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Strong professional communication skills.

• Excellent work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to leading by example.
