Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Drive customer-focused projects with a well-defined strategy, consistent execution, and assured communication.

• Ensure alignment with agreed-upon outcomes by managing timelines, tracking progress, and addressing obstacles proactively.

• Take ownership of the delivery timeline by coordinating resources to meet commitments and ensuring adherence to the plan.

• Track task progress on a daily and weekly basis, eliminate barriers, and maintain momentum towards achieving milestones.

• Recognize potential roadblocks early and escalate with clear context, implications, and suggested next steps.

• Facilitate alignment between customer stakeholders and internal teams through regular communication.

• Deliver succinct and clear project status updates that encompass progress, risks, and issues for both internal and customer stakeholders.

• Oversee project budgeting and financial management, assist with invoicing and administrative duties, and keep project plans current to ensure accurate delivery and timely reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.

• 5 years of experience managing customer-facing projects from inception to completion in the life science sector.

• 5 years of experience leading projects that necessitate close collaboration among various stakeholders and leadership teams.

• 5 years of experience facilitating executive updates and aligning leadership on priorities, risks, and results.

• Capability to manage project delivery using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Proficiency in project management tools and reporting (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira) along with strong Excel skills for tracking and updates.

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management training.
