Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of intricate projects within the Grid Automation solutions sector.

• Ensure that project objectives align with the broader business goals.

• Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.

• Uphold safety and quality standards throughout the entire execution process.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

• Foster strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the execution phase.

• Create comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource distribution.

• Optimize project resource utilization in partnership with the Engineering and Services department.

• Enhance project financials by defining cost-saving strategies and maximizing change orders during execution.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that arise during project execution.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits to uphold high project execution standards.

• Prepare and deliver regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 7 years of project management experience in the energy or Grid Automation industry.

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-dimensional projects.

• Familiarity with protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, and telecom equipment is highly preferred.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or a similar certification is favored.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).

• Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and offices as required by the project plan (approximately 20%).
