This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the technical onboarding and implementation process for new client environments.
• Design, implement, and document secure technical solutions tailored to client infrastructures.
• Create and execute technical work plans, implementation strategies, and client transition approaches.
• Build and configure cloud SaaS solutions, virtual servers, networking equipment, desktops, laptops, and other business technologies.
• Conduct assessments of cloud, infrastructure, security, and technology, providing actionable recommendations.
• Deliver projects in infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and applications in line with defined scope, timelines, and technical standards.
• Proactively identify project risks, technical dependencies, and obstacles while communicating them effectively.
• Provide updates on project status regarding technical strategy, progress, adjustments, risks, and subsequent steps.
• Engage in client-facing meetings, technical discovery sessions, project reviews, and implementation discussions.
• Address client inquiries and offer technical guidance throughout the onboarding and project lifecycles.
• Act as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for both engineers and clients.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to implementation and client transitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Research, assess, design, and test technologies that align with client objectives and company strategies.
• Enhance implementation efficiency, consistency, and scalability through automation, scripting, documentation, and toolsets.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, project records, procedures, and client environment data.
• Cross-train, coach, mentor, and enhance the skills of Project Engineers, Systems Engineers, and interns.
• Adhere to technical standards, security protocols, documentation guidelines, and change-control processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
• 3–5 years of relevant IT experience in desktop support, systems engineering, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or project engineering.
• Proven experience leading or participating in technical implementations, infrastructure projects, client migrations, or new-client onboarding initiatives.
• Strong expertise in end-user and desktop support for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and home or remote-office networking.
• Extensive experience implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Intune, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Azure, Box, Dropbox, or comparable solutions.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, identity management, and email-flow troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure licensing.
• Experience with enterprise networking equipment, including Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls, Cisco switches, and Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti wireless access points.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, DMZ, WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing protocols, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with cybersecurity and email-security products such as Mimecast, Sophos, Symantec, Proofpoint, or similar technologies.
• Proficient in using Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, or similar tools for automating Microsoft 365 administration and implementation tasks.
• Ability to evaluate technical environments, identify risks or gaps, and propose practical solutions.
• Capable of creating and executing technical project plans while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment while being collaborative.
• Availability to work during Eastern Time business hours.
• Competent in managing multiple projects and priorities in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced setting.
• Desirable: Experience in Managed Service Provider roles.
• Desirable: Background in supporting financial services, hedge funds, investment management, or alternative investment clients.
• Desirable: Familiarity with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, FactSet, and Capital IQ.
• Desirable: Experience designing or supporting public-cloud environments.
• Desirable: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field; equivalent professional experience is acceptable.
